David Russell, marketing director of Calix, is featured speaker at the July 28 New England Fiberoptic Council (NEFC) meeting. He will explain progress to date in the deployment of fiber to the home (FTTH) services in the U.S. and Canada.
Deployments taking place and what types of operators are deploying FTTH, plus the implications of the National Broadband Plan, (and the broadband stimulus awards) will also be discussed.
Russell has more than 20 years in business development and marketing of fiber access systems for broadband service providers. He joined Calix through its 2006 acquisition of Optical Solutions, the pioneer in FTTH and GPON, and serves as chairman of the FTTH Council board of directors.
